UPDATE

The Board of Trustees has met and reviewed the suggestions that were submitted from the Members.  We appreciate all those who took the time to review the bylaws and provide their input.  A final draft is being revised by the Board and our attorney for legality and correct wording.  For informational purposes only, we have tried to incorporate the following suggestions into the bylaws.

  1. ANNUAL DUES:  The minimum yearly dues were changed from $10 to $0 as long as the HOA held $500 in reserve.
  2. OUTBUILDINGS:  No committe approval is required for an outbuilding or shed, but the outbuilding or shed must still adhere to the bylaws (Section IX/2/G/iv)
  3. LANDSCAPE DEPOSIT:  The section requiring a landscape deposit has been removed.
  4. LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENTS:  The timeline for the front yard has been extended to 18 months for the front yard and 5 years for the side and backyard.
  5. FENCE:  Nothing has been changed to the fencing guidelines, but we want to remind the Members that the current bylaws do NOT require that you put in a fence as long as your landscaping is complete within the timeframe.
  6. SPECIAL MEETING: Per state law, we have added a section where the Members may call a special meeting within 60 days of passing a new bylaw.  At this meeting the Members may vote to void the new bylaw, requiring 75 percent in agreement.  Proper notice must be given to every member.
  7. FEES/PENALITIES:  A section was added to address how the assessment of fees or penalties would be handled by the board.
  8. EXTENSION:  A section was added to address how obtaining an extension would be handled by the Member and board.
  9. DISSOLVE:  A section was added to outline the procedure in dissolving the HOA.
These revised bylaws will be posted as soon as possible along with meeting information to discuss and vote on these issues.
